Recent Vehicle Recalls
The newest recall campaigns NHTSA has recorded across the cars, SUVs, and trucks we track, listed most recent first. Each entry shows the make and model, the system at fault, how many vehicles are involved, and the date the recall was filed.
A recall is filed when a manufacturer or NHTSA decides a vehicle has a safety defect or fails to meet a federal safety standard. New ones are issued constantly, often for several model years of a vehicle at once, so this list changes regularly. Entries flagged Do Not Drive are the most serious: NHTSA is advising owners to stop driving the affected vehicles until the free repair is done. A recall listed here covers a whole production run and may not apply to every car of that model. To find out whether one specific vehicle is affected and still needs the fix, look it up with the VIN recall check. You can also browse the full history by make, by model year, or by affected system.
