Safety score
55/100
Average recall-severity risk Lower recall-severity risk than 55% of vehicles we track.

The Lamborghini Gallardo scores 55 out of 100 (grade C), a roughly average recall record. That score reflects how serious the recalls are rather than how many. 100% involve a critical safety system, none carried a do-not-drive warning, and 0% were issued in the last three years. How the score works.

Those 1 campaigns span 4 model years of the Lamborghini Gallardo. The single largest affected 1,152 vehicles, over electrical system. A recall repair is free at a franchised dealer and most never expire, so an older open recall is still worth fixing.

The full record is below, grouped first by model year and then listed in detail. Each entry gives the defect NHTSA describes, the safety risk it creates, the manufacturer's remedy, the number of vehicles in that campaign, and the dates. A recall covers a whole production run, so a campaign listed for the Lamborghini Gallardo may not apply to your exact vehicle, and one you have already had repaired will still appear in the history. To see what is actually open and unfixed on a specific car, check its 17-digit VIN.

Defect: Automobili Lamborghini (Lamborghini) is recalling certain 2011-2014 Gallardo Coupe and Gallardo Spyder vehicles. The Engine Control Unit (ECU) software may erase trouble codes after the ignition is turned off, not illuminating warning lamps and preventing drivers from being warned of safety system problems the next time that they are driving.

Risk: If the warning lamps do not indicate a safety system failure such as an engine or fuel injection system malfunction, continuing to drive the vehicle with a faulty system and no warning can increase the risk of a crash or injury.

Remedy: Lamborghini will notify owners, and dealers will reflash the engine software with the appropriate procedure, free of charge. The recall began December 14, 2018. Owners may contact Lamborghini customer service at 1-866-681-6276. Lamborghini's numbers for this recall are L61XR0118/L615R0218.
